United Roofing Group’s President Nathan Sparrow, began working for a commercial roofing company in 1988 as a laborer that tore off and disposed of old tar roofs. He was fortunate that a few old school roofers recognized his potential, and took him as an apprentice to show him the correct means and methods, and tricks of the trade that allowed him to progress quickly into a Foreman position after only 4 years. He wore many hats including Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Safety Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager helping to grow the company into the largest commercial roofing company in Alaska.
Having supervised the installations and management of the highest profile roofs in the state, Nathan is uniquely qualified to draw upon his 28 years of experience in insuring that your new roof project is installed with the highest standards and workmanship in the industry. Some recent examples of “box” stores are Costco, Safeway, Fred Meyers, Lowes, and Wal Mart. Bartlett HS, Service HS, Chugiak HS, West HS, East HS, and many others for the ASD. C-17 and F-22 Hangars, and the Denali Readiness Center on JBER, as well as Concourse B and C roofs at the airport.

After 20 years apart, he somehow convinced his life long friend and former co worker Rick Vaughan and family to leave their cushy jobs and lives in Virginia, and move back to Anchorage and form United Roofing Group Inc.
